Since its launch in 2022, Career Connect has supported more than 200 teenage girls from underserved communities. The programme, a partnership between leading global financial institution J.P. Morgan and SUTD, aims to inspire the next generation of women to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

The National Day celebrations concluded last week, and as the entire nation rejoices, we should not only take pride in our country’s achievements but also express our gratitude to the seniors who have contributed to the nation’s development. They are the pillars of our society and the foundation of Singapore’s prosperity and stability. On this special day, let us consider how we can better care for their physical and mental well-being, ensuring they remain active in society.

Last September, the first batch of students enrolled in SUTD’s 42 programme. In the coming months, several students will complete the ninth level of the core curriculum and begin internships at various local institutions. Among them, three students have achieved the fastest completion of the core curriculum globally.

Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat also suggested 3Cs in place of the 5Cs at the Singapore University of Technology and Design’s Ministerial Forum in 2021: creating more value for society, caring about the environment and wider community, and charting the way forward.
