SUTD graduate fellowships and scholarships

The scholarships listed below are tenable for graduate studies at SUTD.

SUTD PhDPresident’s Graduate Fellowship (PGF)
  • Open to all nationalities
  • Awardees will receive a scholarship which covers the applicable tuition fees(for up to 4 years)and monthly stipend as follows(with effect from 1 January2024):
For PhD Candidates
Singapore Citizen1 & 2 S$4,500
Singapore Permanent Resident2 S$4,100
International Student2 S$3,600

 

1 Central Provident Fund (CPF) contributions shall be provided at a rate pegged to the prevailing employer’s contribution rate set by CPF on top of the monthly stipend received.

2 Students must perform teaching / laboratory supervision duties to fulfil the requirements for the subsidised fees.

SUTD PhD Fellowship
  • Open to all nationalities
  • Awardees will receive a scholarship which covers the applicable tuition fees(for up to 4 years)and monthly stipend as follows(with effect from 1 January 2024):
For PhD Candidates3
Singapore Citizen1 & 2 S$3,500
Singapore Permanent Resident2 S$3,100
International Student2 S$2,700

2 Students must perform teaching / laboratory supervision duties to fulfil the requirements for the subsidised fees.

3 Scholars who pass the PhD Qualifying Examination will be eligible for an additional stipend of up to S$500 per month. The additional stipend is renewable each term, subject to good performance. The University reserves the right to suspend the stipend at any time due to poor academic or research performance.

SUTDMEng(Research) Fellowship
  • Open to all nationalities
  • Awardees will receive a scholarship which covers the applicable tuition fees(for up to 18 months)and monthly stipend as follows(with effect from 1 January 2024):
For Master’s by Research Candidates
Singapore Citizen1 & 2 S$3,500
Singapore Permanent Resident2 S$2,700
International Student2 S$2,600
