Understanding Culture for Design

Overview

This course is stackable to Master of Science in Technology and Design (Human-Centred Design)

This course provides an exploration of the interplay between human behaviour, technology and design. By studying methods from cognitive science, behavioural science, social psychology, and human-computer interaction, students will learn how technology and design interact with, and may change, human behaviour. The course prepares students to understand how the use of technology is shaped by cognitive processes, and how to design technologies that will work smoothly in human use and/or with the intent to modify behaviours.
