The collaboration between LASALLE College of the Arts (LASALLE) and SUTD is attempting to revolutionise electric vehicle design, combining engineering excellence and design innovation. The cutting-edge electric vehicle prototype is being exhibited at LASALLE as part of Singapore Design Week.

The pioneering students outperformed 2,800 others to book their place in the programme. Ranging from 18 to 60 years old, the students went through 26 intensive days of immersion called “Piscine”.

SUTD students will be offered aviation-related internship opportunities with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) as part of this new three-year tie-up. Knowledge exchange in the area of unmanned aircraft systems technology will leverage the AerialArena@SUTD.

The Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities at SUTD, and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and Institute of Policy Studies at NUS, are jointly organising the conference on 14 August 2023, to mark the 100th birth anniversary of Mr Lee Kuan Yew.

$3 million will be channelled towards supporting the new “Future-Ready Society Impact Fund”, which will bring together community partners from the People-Private-Public sectors to co-solution towards a future-ready social ecosystem.

Despite a slowing economy, around nine in 10 of SUTD’s fresh graduates were employed within six months of completing their final exams; with more than half receiving two or more job offers. The median gross salary increased to $4,800 in 2022 compared to $4,500 in 2021.

The 3-year partnership will support digital upskilling for students as part of SUTD’s 42 Singapore programme. Students from the programme will have access to foodpanda’s mentorship and internship opportunities.

The Dyson-SUTD Innovation Studios, representing a S$1m commitment, are the James Dyson Foundation’s largest donation to a Singapore education institution yet, and are the Foundation’s first ever community spaces in Singapore to inspire interest in design engineering education.

The five-week program that concluded today equips 100 female secondary school students with design and problem-solving skills, enabling them to create prototypes of their solutions to tackle real-world challenges.

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and Tecnológico de Monterrey (Tec) through its Institute for the Future of Education, signed a research collaboration agreement to improve the cyber physical learning of students and teachers in Singapore and Mexico.
